Description

Please bring your neighbors, your friends, your coworkers, and your signboards! Let’s show Google why they should choose San Luis Obispo for their Google Fiber Project.

To bring Google Fiber to San Luis Obispo, SLO’s Tech Networking Group is coordinating a meetup to “Rally for Google Fiber: Make SLO Faster.”

The meetup will start at *Mission Plaza in downtown SLO. Be there by 5:30 when we’ll walk as a group down Chorro Street, right on Higuera Street, and right on Broad Street, gathering at the San Luis Obispo Museum of Art.

Once at the San Luis Obispo Museum of Art, we will:
- Hear from Guest Speakers:
Tim Williams, Digital West
Dave Garth, SLO Chamber of Commerce
Howard Gordon, Surveyor Corporation
Jeff Buckingham, Entrepreneur in Transition
- Nominate SLO to be the Google Fiber Community of choice!
- Tweet and Facebook to create a buzz – bring your smart phones & laptops!
- Create videos to upload on YouTube
- Enjoy local wine, cheese, and art

The event will be moderated by Tech Networking President Amy Kardel of Clever Ducks.

*If the weather acts up and it’s raining, please go directly to the Art Center – we’ll see you there!
